REAL-TIME ONBAORD FAILURE AND FRACTURE ANALYSIS

Brainbox uses the cyclic slip approach to detect microcrack initiations. Decohesion and cyclic strain hardening technique is used to consider damages to predict intensity and time-to-fail. 

 

To correctly predict the evolution of these responses, it is necessary to have accurate assessments for the local deformation and stress states in the lamina. Prime uses history-dependent phenomena at the smallest length scale to drive the initiation and evolution of the nonlinear behavior at the larger length scales. Prime runs inbuilt physics based models to detect damage modes at the lamina level for identifying cracking along the direction and interprets crack growth and propagations accurately.
